Holly Peeples, M.D.

Dr. Peeples is Associate Professor of the Department since 1990. She earned her M.D. at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she also completed her family medicine residency and held the position of Chief Resident. Dr. Peeples is also a medical consultant since 2002 for the UMC School of Dentistry for the ACT Center for Tobacco Treatment, Education & Research. Prior to joining UMMC, Dr. Peeples was Health Officer at the Mississippi State Department of Health-District V. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Peeples is actively involved in community projects such as Habitat for Humanity and Honduras Medical Mission, and is a member of the Mission Committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi. She frequently gives talks to various middle and upper schools in the area of sexually transmitted diseases and smoking cessation.
